Hajjar Awarded Moisseiff Award
CDM Smith Professor and Civil and Environmental Engineering Department Chair Jerome Hajjar is a co-recipient of the 2016 ASCE Moisseiff Award from the American Society of Civil Engineers for his paper on "Quasi-Static Cyclic Behavior of Controlled Rocking Steel Frames". This award is given annually to the authors of an important paper published in an ASCE journal dealing within the broad field of structural design, including applied mechanics as well as the theoretical analysis, or constructive improvement, of engineering structures such as bridges and frames, of any structural material. ASCE News featured the award in the article "Paper Detailing Innovative Work in Controlled Rocking Steel Frames Earns 2016 Moisseiff Award".
