Jessica is an Assistant Co-op Coordinator working with civil and environmental engineering students. She graduated from Northeastern University in 2000 with a B.S. in Environmental Geology and a Marine Science minor. She spent 14 years supporting civil and environmental engineering projects at a local AE firm where she focused on facilitating environmental field investigations for various solid waste and civil infrastructure construction projects. This work included data collection and analysis, developing detailed graphical maps, writing environmental assessment reports, and successfully navigating the regulatory permitting process. Inspired by her desire to work with students in an educational setting, Jessica obtained her M.Ed. in School Counseling from the University of Massachusetts Boston in 2016. She subsequently returned to Northeastern to join the COE Cooperative Education team to educate and support students as they search for and carry out their co-op experiences. She is passionate about helping students identify career goals and enjoys assisting them as they navigate the job search and interview process. Jessica’s prior professional experiences allow her to work closely with industry employers to develop exciting co-op opportunities that enhance on-campus learning and help students achieve their professional goals.
