Mission
The mission of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering is to prepare our students for successful careers by providing a program of study that develops in each student:
- technical competence in civil engineering;
- problem solving skills for design and analysis of complex systems;
- communications skills and an appreciation for esthetics;
- the ability to pursue lifelong learning; and,
- an understanding of professional ethics, and professional responsibility to society.
